Who are we?

The St Margaret’s PTFA is a dedicated group of parents, friends, and staff working together to strengthen the connection between home and school. As a registered charity, our primary role is to enhance the school experience for students by organising events, fostering community spirit, and raising funds for valuable extras.

While fundraising is a key focus, we also serve an important social function, creating opportunities for families and staff to engage and collaborate.

Who Can Join?
All parents, carers, and teachers are automatically members of the PTFA. Whether you want to get involved in organising events or simply support our initiatives, we welcome everyone!

How We Operate
We hold an Annual General Meeting (AGM) in October to elect our committee for the year. The committee typically includes a Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, and other committee members. We try and meet as regularly as we can but it all depends on the events that are being planned.

How Are Funds Used?
The money raised by the PTFA goes towards extras that enhance learning but are not covered by the school’s main budget. These are often fun and engaging additions that make a real difference for students.

Decisions on spending are made by the PTFA committee and the headteacher, ensuring funds are used effectively to benefit the school community.
